In the middle of 1944 the Su-100 first came onto the battlefield. It was quickly understood that it's 100mm gun, which was influenced by guns used on Navy battleships, was perfect for taking out enemy tanks. The Su-100 had a limitation that it couldn't carry that many shells because of its small size. Its armor however was decent and could go up against enemy tanks and take a considerable amount of damage. It was also one of the speedier tanks used during the war, so it could outrun enemy tanks if necessary. Since this tank was used at the end of the War it was given a lesser rank due to its lack of experience.
