This was the biggest cannon EVER built in the history of mankind. It was called The Great Gustav and there were only two of them ever created. Weighing in at 1,350 tons, it was a railway weapon that was able to shoot 7 ton shells almost up to 30 miles. Just trying imagining how big this type of weapon was. If you're having a hard time, just take a look at the shells that this giant could fire.

It's so big that it even looks humongous next to a tank!

You might think that with the invention of such a weapon that the Allies would immediately surrender and the war would be over, but you'd be wrong. Just to get the weapon setup it took a full three days of two hundred and fifty men working round the clock. Plus, almost 3,000 men were needed to put down the tracks, and then 30 minutes to load it up. They did indeed end up firing it at Russia, but that's about it.
