8. Hitler's Plan To Invade Switzerland
In Switzerland the population was ready to fight all the way to the death. Everyone in the country had been given weapons, and they had a military force of almost half a million soldiers. Their General, Henri Guisan, had a strategy that they would use to first protect their borders, and then retreat to strategic fortresses located in the Alps. If the Axis had attempted to invade Switzerland then this could have changed the direction of history immensely, as they Axis would have lost a lot of men.
