This Privacy Policy applies to the Covernator website (covernator.com) and to the Android apps published on Google Play under the developer name Hooah Studio. The website and the apps are operated by 360swim Oy (Finland) ("we", "us"). Please read the following to learn how we handle your information.

MOBILE APPS: INFORMATION THE APPS DO NOT COLLECT

The apps do not require an account and do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, files or location. The camera permission is used only to switch the camera flash (LED) on and off; the apps never take photos or record video, and no camera images are stored or transmitted. Motion and orientation sensors are read on your device only to display the compass; sensor readings are not stored or transmitted.

MOBILE APPS: INFORMATION COLLECTED BY THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

All apps use the following Google Firebase services to keep the apps stable and improve them:

Firebase Analytics – app usage events (such as screens opened and features used), app instance ID, advertising ID, device model, operating system version and approximate region derived from IP address. Used to understand how the app is used.
Firebase Crashlytics – crash reports, device and operating system details and an installation ID. Used to find and fix crashes.
Firebase Performance Monitoring – app start-up times, network request timings and device details. Used to improve app performance.

The paid version, Military Flashlight, shows no ads.

The free versions (such as Military Flashlight Free) show ads through Google AdMob, which may also deliver ads from Meta Audience Network. These ad networks may collect your advertising ID, IP address, device information and ad interaction data to show ads, measure them and, where you have consented, personalize them. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before showing personalized ads, and you can change your choice at any time via the Privacy Settings button in the app's menu.

This data is processed by Google and Meta under their own policies: Google Privacy Policy, How Google uses information from apps and Meta Privacy Policy. We do not sell personal information and we do not use this data to identify you personally.

MOBILE APPS: RETENTION AND YOUR CHOICES

Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months and crash data for up to 90 days, after which it is deleted. All data is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device's Android settings (Settings > Privacy > Ads). Uninstalling an app stops all further data collection by that app.

WEBSITE: INFORMATION AND COLLECTION OF USE

We collect personal information when you register with Covernator and when you share covers on Facebook. Covernator may combine information about you that we have with information we obtain from business partners or other companies. When you register, we ask for information such as your name and email address. When you register with Covernator and sign in to our services, you are not anonymous to us. Covernator automatically receives and records information from your computer and browser, including your IP address, Covernator cookie information, software and hardware attributes, and the page you request. Covernator uses information for the following general purposes: to customize the content you see, fulfill your requests for services, improve our services, contact you, and conduct research.

INFORMATION SHARING

We do not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people or non-affiliated companies except with the service providers described in this policy, to provide products or services you've requested, when we have your permission, or when we respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims. If we become involved in a merger, acquisition, or any form of sale of some or all of our assets, we will provide notice before personal information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

COOKIES

We may set and access Covernator cookies on your computer. We use these cookies in connection with Covernator services.

NON-PERSONALLY IDENTIFYING INFORMATION

This is information that is commonly made available by web browsers and servers, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. We use this information to understand how visitors use Covernator.

CONTENTS OF ITEMS

The contents of any item that you post directly to the site, including any text, images and audio, are stored and maintained on our servers in order to publish these items and provide the Service. Your submitted content will be associated with your account.

CONFIDENTIALITY AND SECURITY

We limit access to personal information about you to employees who we believe reasonably need to come into contact with that information to provide products or services to you or in order to do their jobs. These individuals are bound by confidentiality obligations and may be subject to discipline, including termination and criminal prosecution, if they fail to meet these obligations.

THIRD PARTY SITES

We do not exercise control over the sites that our website or apps link to. These other sites may place their own cookies or other files on your computer, collect data or solicit personal information from you. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit. It is the sole responsibility of such third parties to adhere to any applicable restrictions on the disclosure of your personally-identifying information, and we shall not be liable for wrongful use or disclosure of your personally-identifying information by any third party.

CHILDREN

Our website and apps are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

YOUR RIGHTS

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or California, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you and to ask that it be corrected, updated, or deleted, or to object to its processing. To exercise these rights, email us at developer@covernator.com or use our contact form. We will respond within 30 days.

DATA INTEGRITY

We process personal information only for the purposes for which it was collected and in accordance with this policy. We review our data collection, storage and processing practices to ensure that we only collect, store and process the personal information needed to provide or improve our services. We take reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information we process is accurate, complete, and current, but we depend on our users to update or correct their personal information whenever necessary.

CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this policy. We will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat personal information by sending a notice to the primary email address specified in your Covernator account, by placing a prominent notice on our site, or by updating this page.
