According to Boeing, the company has recently retrofitted fighter jets that have since been retired and transformed them into drones. Last week an F-16 that was stored for 15 years in an Arizona facility flew last week with the cockpit empty. The Lockheed Martin aircraft was controlled from the ground by two pilots of the US Air Force. The drone took off from a base located in Florida and flew over the Gulf of Mexico at 40,000 feet (12.2kilometers). The retrofitted jet reached Mach 1.47 or 1,800km/h (1,119mph). Boeing said that this innovative approach could one day be used in pilot training particularly when they are provided a target for firing practice. This F-16 is not the first former fighter plane to be re-commissioned as a drone. An F-4 Phantom was used for target practice by the American Air Force in the past.
Here we present to you the top ten fighter planes of World War 2. This list intends to strike a balance between performance and technology with service record and value during wartime.
The biggest RC plane was made by three Belgian men and these three were included in Guinness Book of Worlds Records for their invention. The plane has an area of 8.9 meters, engine is 160 cc and it has weight of 210 kg. It is fabricated on a measure of 1/5 of the B29. The RC plane is huge and can carry three people to soar in the sky.
Now that's entertainment, Amazon.com I will be testing delivery drones. The company called Prime Air is attempting to deliver packages as fast as possible through the use of small, unmanned aircraft. The new delivery system's goal is to have packages in customer's hands well under 30 minutes. Amazon's CEO's thought process is that if Prime Air can be put into commercial use it, though it could take "some number of years" to develop the technology and get (FAA) Federal Aviation Administration to create rules and regulations needed for the concept. Jeff Bezos, CEO of Amazon, proudly shared these grand ideas on the CBS TV show, 60 Minutes on Sunday. He then played a video demonstration showing how the aircraft drones, referred to as, "Octocopters" pick up small sized packages. They sit in yellow buckets in Amazon's fulfillment centers and fly through the air to deliver it to online customers.
The US Navy has developed a directed-energy weapon known as LaWS (Laser Weapon System). In early 2014 (or late 2013) this directed-energy weapon would be installed in the USS Ponce for the purpose of field testing. The Kratos Defense and Security Solutions developed this system in support of the US Navy's DE&EWS (Directed Energy & Electric Weapon Systems) program after being awarded a contract amounting to $11 million in the year 2010. However, in May 2012, the CIWS control system was used in NSWC test for enabling the beam director for tracking UAV target. LaWs is primarily intended for ship defense, particularly against both suicidal and non-suicidal small boat attacks and drones. At present it isn't capable of engaging missiles, ships, submersibles, or large aircraft that are approaching the ship. The basic design of LaWs features a solid-state infrared beam that can be adjusted to low output for crippling the target's sensor, and a higher output for destroying a target. For every firing, only an energetic pulse needs to be generated, making it more efficient over projectile weapons in terms of operation, storage space, transportation, handling and maintenance.
The US Senate has taken up the vote to cut down military spending, as a result of which the F-22 fighter, worth around $350 million is directly affected. Below is a list of aircrafts used by the military and their hefty price tags.
For the first time a fighter jet (the X-47B) was launched from the surface of an American aircraft carrier. The carrier was a drone which has no human pilot on board. According to defense analyst James Lewis, these unmanned crafts are powerful key in the upcoming fights and wars. According to Vice Admiral Buss aka Navy's Air Boss, the drone is a significant and important impending assimilation of unmanned systems and nuclear powered aircraft carrier that can control and defeat their enemies. The launching of the trial flight of the drone (X-47B) on Tuesday can finally make a way for the US to release the unmanned aircraft anywhere and anytime in the whole world. The U.S. military will no longer require military bases in other countries to launch their planes since the unmanned fighter can be the answer to their air support need. Thoughts?
F22 might have a new friend in the sky Either of these planes have what it takes to succeed: sigint, maneuver superiority, CAP, electronic warfare etc. It could be complicated to compare T50 with F22 at this stage. We need to see them in action on a battlefield to declare a clear winner.
Check out these amazing flybys from all the corners of the world. Hats off to all the Air Force pilots. Keep up the good work.
The military force of North Korea is prepared to launch operation and aggression against United States and South Korea after weeks of alleged hostility and provocation. North Korea has repeatedly challenged and intimidated their Southern neighbor and United States, however has yet to attack either of the parties. Tragic consequences may occur warned the North's military spokesman after learning that a group of battle ships including aircraft carrier was deployed to South Korean port. The spokesman also confirmed that all service ready units of the KPA are on an emergency order from its commanding officers and should be ready to attack at any time. Finally, he added that if North Korea is going to attack, US is going to be held accountable. Meanwhile there was no sign of military action in the North said the South Korea's Minister of Defense Kim Kwan-jin on Tuesday. Washington ignored the North's warning. What are your thoughts?

Flappy What?? Well, Tank Of Course.

I've seen many of the FlappyBird clones out there, but this one must be the closest to my heart. One might think that a flying tank is absurd, but it actually is not. There were many experiments with flying tanks out there, but obviously they were all short lived. Nevertheless, there was one :). Check out how Flappy Tank is played below....
